Born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, Roger once told a relative that he wanted to move to Texas to dig for dinosaurs when he grew up. Fate has a way of answering such calls. As an adult, Roger earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science and Mathematics at Bradley University and later fulfilled his childhood dream by moving to Texas to dig for dinosaurs. For the last 15 years Roger has worked on paleo-projects that range from investigating dinosaur trackways at Glen Rose, Canyon Lake, as well as Wise and Parker County sites. Roger has assisted with the excavation of an Acrocanthosaurus near Glen Rose and is currently working as the Dig Crew Chief at the Arlington Archosaur Site. Roger is a research affiliate at UT-Arlington, as well as a member of the Dallas Paleontological Society and the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology.
